Life in Rural Queensland
My story began from living in rural Queensland, where the climate can be so dry in the summer as well as downright freezing in the winter! The weather conditions can be relentless - scorching heat that would crack your lips within hours, followed by bitter cold that left skin raw and painful.
I needed something that worked! Living so far away from supermarkets and only shopping online, conventional lip balms and skin care products were not just inconvenient, we were going through them at a rate of knots!
The Experimental Journey
in 2024 I decided to start the exploratory world of creating my own lip balms and skincare that actually worked. My kitchen became my laboratory, and my friends and family in both Australia and New Zealand became my testing ground.
It was trial and error, research and experimentation, driven by the simple need for products that could withstand real-world conditions. Every batch was tested in different elements and on different skin types to see what actually worked.
The Community Test
Over the course of a year, I handed out samples to friends and family, eager to see if my creations could help others facing the same challenges. The response was awesome! But what happened next surprised even me.
People weren't just using my lip balms and whipped tallows for their intended purpose - they were discovering incredible versatility. Friends started using them as tattoo salves for healing, and even for horse hoof care! When your products work so well that people find creative new uses for them, you know you're onto something special.
From Kitchen to Community
What started as a personal solution to a rural problem quickly became something bigger. Every product in our collection is still lovingly handcrafted in small batches, using the same dedication to quality that began in my Queensland kitchen.
The personal touch that comes from understanding real need ensures that each lip balm and skincare product meets the exacting standards forged by necessity and proven by community.
